Partner Portal: Room Types

Your Partner Portal is organised into different "Rooms" - each designed for specific partnership activities. Think of rooms as different areas of your workspace, each with its own purpose and tools.

Overview Room - Your Partnership Dashboard

What you'll see: Your main landing page with everything at a glance

Daily use:

  • Check your performance - See leads submitted, deals in progress, commission earned

  • Quick actions - Jump to submit a new lead or check deal status

  • Recent updates - See what's happened since your last visit

  • Important announcements - Get partnership news and updates

Example: Mike logs in Monday morning and immediately sees he has 3 new deal updates, $15K in pending commissions, and a new training module available.

Leads Room - Submit and Track Referrals

What you'll do: Manage all your lead referrals and track their progress

Key activities:

  • Submit new leads with a simple form - just add contact details and notes

  • Track lead status - See which stage each lead is in (qualified, demo, proposal, closed)

  • View your lead history - See all leads you've submitted and their outcomes

  • Get progress updates - Receive notifications when leads move through the pipeline

  • Commission tracking - See expected payouts for each lead

Example: Sarah from a consulting firm spots a potential client who needs CRM software. She logs into the Leads room, clicks "Submit New Lead," fills out the client's details, and gets a confirmation that the lead is now being worked by the sales team.

Deals Room - Monitor Sales and Commissions

What you'll do: Track sales opportunities and revenue

Key activities:

  • View your deal pipeline - See all opportunities you're involved in

  • Monitor deal progression - Watch as deals move from proposal to closed-won

  • Track deal values - See potential revenue and your expected commission

  • Add deal notes - Share insights about the prospect or competitive situation

  • Celebrate wins - Get notified when deals close successfully

Example: Lisa's agency referred a client 3 months ago. In the Deals room, she can see the deal is now at the "Contract Review" stage worth $50K, with her expected commission of $2,500 clearly displayed.

Resources Room - Access Training and Marketing Materials

What you'll find: Everything you need to be successful in your partnership

What's available:

  • Training materials - Product guides, certification courses, best practices

  • Marketing assets - Brochures, case studies, presentation templates

  • Sales tools - Battle cards, pricing sheets, competitive comparisons

  • Technical docs - Integration guides, API documentation, troubleshooting

  • Partnership updates - New product announcements, program changes

Example: Before a client meeting, Tom downloads the latest product brochure and pricing sheet from the Resources room, ensuring he has current information to share.

Projects Room - Collaborate on Implementations

What you'll do: Work together on client projects and implementations

How it works:

  • View project timelines - See all tasks and deadlines in one place

  • Track progress - Know exactly what's been completed and what's coming next

  • Assign tasks - Collaborate with both your team and your partner's team

  • Share updates - Post progress reports and milestone completions

  • Manage deliverables - Upload and review project documents

Example: Jennifer's team is implementing software for a mutual client. The Projects room shows her that the data migration is complete, user training is scheduled for next week, and she needs to review the final configuration by Friday.

Messages Room - Communicate with Your Partner Team

What you'll do: Have ongoing conversations with your partner contacts

Communication features:

  • Direct messaging - Quick questions get quick answers

  • Organised conversations - Different topics stay separate and easy to find

  • File sharing - Attach documents or images to your messages

  • Message history - Find old conversations when you need to reference something

  • Notifications - Get alerted to new messages via email or in-app

Example: David has a question about a client's specific requirements. Instead of email, he posts in the Messages room and gets a response from the technical team within an hour.

Brand Guidelines Room - Get Approved Marketing Assets

What you'll find: All the marketing materials you're approved to use

Available assets:

  • Logos and graphics - High-resolution files in various formats

  • Marketing templates - Presentations, brochures, and email templates

  • Brand guidelines - Colours, fonts, and usage rules

  • Co-branded materials - Assets featuring both company logos

  • Campaign assets - Materials for specific marketing campaigns

Example: Maria needs to create a presentation for a prospect. She visits the Brand Guidelines room, downloads the approved presentation template and product screenshots, ensuring everything looks professional and on-brand.

Shared Files Room - Exchange Documents and Collaborate

What you'll do: Share files back and forth for various partnership activities

File sharing features:

  • Upload documents - Share contracts, proposals, technical specs

  • Organise in folders - Keep different types of files organised

  • Version control - Always know you're working with the latest version

  • Download tracking - See when files have been accessed

  • Collaborative editing - Work together on documents in real-time

Example: Alex needs to review a mutual client's requirements document. His partner uploads it to the Shared Files room, Alex reviews and adds comments, then uploads the revised version for final approval.

Contacts Room - Connect with Your Partnership Team

What you'll find: Directory of everyone involved in your partnership

Contact information:

  • Partner team members - Sales reps, technical support, partner managers

  • Your team members - Everyone from your company involved in the partnership

  • Role definitions - Understand who does what and when to contact them

  • Contact preferences - How each person prefers to be reached

  • Team updates - Know when new people join or roles change

Example: Karen has a technical question about an integration. She checks the Contacts room, finds the technical support specialist, and sees that he prefers to be contacted via the Messages room rather than email.

What makes them special: Built specifically for your unique partnership requirements

  • Training portals - Customised learning paths with progress tracking

  • Campaign centers - Dedicated spaces for joint marketing initiatives

  • Support hubs - Specialised help areas with FAQs and troubleshooting

  • Industry-specific tools - Specialised functionality for your business vertical

Example: A healthcare software company creates a custom "Compliance Center" room for their partners, featuring HIPAA training modules, compliance checklists, and industry-specific resources.

How Rooms Work Together

Daily Workflow Example:

  1. Start in Overview - Check for new activity and important updates

  2. Visit Leads Room - Submit any new referrals from the weekend

  3. Check Deals Room - See if any of your deals have progressed

  4. Review Messages - Respond to any partner communications

  5. Access Resources - Download materials needed for today's client calls

Monthly Routine:

  • Performance review in Overview room for commission tracking

  • Pipeline analysis in Deals room to forecast upcoming revenue

  • Training updates in Resources room to stay current

  • Relationship check-ins via Messages room with key partner contacts

Your partner will set up the rooms that make the most sense for your type of partnership - you might have all of these rooms available, or just the ones that are most relevant to how you work together.
